Quant Report for 2010-04-08

Updated 6:15am EST - Global equity markets are selling off across the board. US equity futures are all lower ahead of the US open. Commodities are generally declining on a stronger US dollar. Gold, while down on the session, is at its highest levels since early Jan. Crude is also lower for the 2nd consecutive day, trading just above the $85/barrel handle. In the currency markets, the Japanese yen is strongest while the commodity currencies are weakening against the majors. Interest rate decisions from the BOE and ECB are due out at 7am and 7:45am respectively. The ECB press conference along with unemployment claims are set for 8:30am EST.
