Updated 5:30am EST - While the NIKKEI closed higher by more than 1%, the European equity markets started to sell off after weaker than expected Eurozone data. US equity futures are headed lower as well. Commodities are lower across the board. Gold and Silver are weakening. Crude is breaking down through the $74/barrel level. Grains are also lower on the session. In the currency markets, the Euro and Swiss Franc are down below 2010 lows while the US dollar continues higher. US retail sales figures are due out at 8:30am EST.
