Quant Report for 2010-03-04

Updated 6am EST - After the NIKKEI closed lower by -1.05%, European equity markets are mixed on the session. US equity futures are basically unchanged. Commodities are mixed. Crude is trading above the $80/barrel level. In the currency markets, the Canadian dollar is showing some strength against the majors. The MPC rate statement is due out of the UK at 7am EST. Shortly thereafter, the ECB will make an interest rate decision at 7:45am EST. The ECB press conference along with US unemployment claims is due out at 8:30am EST.
