Quant Report for 2010-06-10
Updated 6am EST - Global equity markets are all in positive territory, while US equity futures are higher ahead of the US open. Gold is showing some signs of weakening, down for the third straight day. Crude is higher, trading around the $75/barrel handle. In the currency markets, the US dollar is retreating from recent highs as the commodity currencies are slightly stronger against the majors. The Bank of England and the European Central Bank will announce decisions on interest rates at 7am and 7:45am EST respectively. At 8:30am EST, both the ECB press conference will begin and US unemployment claims will be released.
